1. Check or striped suiting should be carefully matched at centre back seams of coat; across sleeves; where edge of collar meets coat at back; front closing; pocket flaps and opening; collar notch.

2. Buttonholes should be neat, matching, and perfectly aligned.

3. Corner of collar and points of lapels should lie flat on figure even after being folded.

4. Shoulder padding should feel soft and be used sparingly to give uniform contour of shoulders.
